COVID-19 IN NIGERIA: REALITY CHECK, A BIGGER OUTBREAK OF THE VIRUS IS AT THE CORNER.

The novel virus entered the country in the month March through an italian man who paid a visit to Ogun state. Nigeria had the total case of 1 as at that time.

Exactly a month after,April 7th, Nigeria recorded the total case of 254 active Coronavirus cases and the total death of 6 after which the government suggested the lockdown of the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos and Ogun state to reduce the rate of transmission.

Later in the month of April, the lockdown was eased so as to make the economy bounce back to the usual gradually.

Yesterday, May 7th; Nigeria recorded a total number of 3526 active cases and 107 total number of deaths. It is very obvious that the number becomes more frightening each day.

Nigeria recorded 381 new cases today, bringing the total in the country to 3526.

Lagos is now reporting daily deaths like they started reporting confirmed cases!


The federal government said on Thursday that its policy on self-isolation, which prescribes that people should stay at home for certain time to authenticate their COVID-19 status has failed.

With all this informations shared,it is so obvious that easing of the lockdown is unripe,A bigger outbreak is yet to come!!!

Nigerian singer Davido,The DMW boss has announced his upcoming new song featuring American female rapper Nicki Minaj. Davido  is definitely not stopping anytime soon with his penetration of International Market as he is set to feature the huge American Female star. The DMW boss took to his Twitter handle today to announce the coming of a song he already recorded with  Nicki Minaj  which is produced by Speroach Davido also announced that he would be releasing his third studio album titled “A Better Time” in July. The new album would come barely eight months after the release of his second studio album titled “A Good Time”. A Good Time was released on November 22, 2019, through Davido Music Worldwide, RCA Records and Sony Music. The album featured American superstar Chris Brown and Jamaican singer Popcaan, among others.

NEWS: FG clarify issues on resumption and warns parents against paying Third term school fees to schools.

This was revealed in a statement issued by the Federal Capital Territory (FCTA) Education Secretary on Tuesday, warning private schools owners against opening of schools or planning to commence the third term online. The acting Secretary for Education, Umaru Marafa, reiterated that the closure of school and resumption was in effect till further notice and added that no academic activities in all schools shall commence until a notice to reopen school is approved and conveyed by the Secretariat. Also, Marafa advised all schools to maintain the status quo and keep their schools closed until further notice. He exclaimed that any violation to this will have to face justice. “It has been drawn to our notice that some private schools are already demanding from parents the school fees for 3rd term from parents and the term hasn't been effective yet due to the purported resumption.
