The  Nigerian Football Federation and sportswear giants Nike will on February 5, unveil new Super Eagles jerseys in New York ahead of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations match-day three home qualifying encounter against Sierra Leone,  Sports Extra  reports. Nike extended their deal in 2018 with the NFF and are eager to design another set of jerseys for the three-time African champions. Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky has debunked report of his arrest and seizure of his car which was passed off in a video that went viral. Bobrisky who shared a new photo on his Instagram page, dispelled report of the arrest which unconfirmed sources claimed was linked to his cross-dressing activities. Nigerian celebrity cross-dresser, Bobrisky, has been arrested in his Lagos home He was picked up, last night, at his residence inside Bera Estate, Chevron Drive, #Lekki and whisked away to an unknown destination. According to reports, the officers who arrested him, brought him back this morning to move all his cars. It was gathered that his arrest is linked to his “cross-dressing” activities, although this hasn’t been verified. One of the officers was also quoted as saying “We will turn him back to a guy.”

A former Executive Secretary , National Universities Commission , Prof Peter Okebukola , has said that the teaching of Science , Technology , Engineering and Mathematics in tertiary institutions will propel Nigeria ’s economy to greater heights . Okebukola said this during an event held recently to flag off lectures on STEM at the Lagos State University , Ojo . Manchester United are ready to launch a £ 42 m bid for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele to replace the injured Marcus Rashford . The Daily Mail also report that the striker’ s future at Lyon could be back up in the air after the club was able to secure a possible replacement in the form of Villarreal striker Karl Toko Ekambi. But Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says the club intend to keep Dembele this month. Sky Sports News reported earlier in the window that Chelsea were also willing to pay £ 34 m to sign the striker this month – an offer that was rejected. Oxford English Dictionary said it has added 29 Nigerian words and expressions in the January updates to the dictionary. “The majority of these new additions are either borrowings from Nigerian languages, or unique Nigerian coinages that have only begun to be used in English in the second half of the twentieth century, mostly in the 1970s and 1980s,” OED’s World English editor Danica Salazar said in a statement. ‘Next tomorrow,’ is one of the new entries into the dictionary. The expression is regarded as the oldest among the over 25 uniquely Nigerian words/expressions. According to Salazar, ‘next tomorrow’ was first used in written English as a noun in 1953, and as an adverb in 1964. Kannywood, which refers to the film industry in northern Nigeria, is deemed the youngest among the lot. Others such as ‘buka,’ ‘bukateria’ and ‘severally’ also made the dictionary.
